Construction Inspection Job Training Program

Are you good with your hands? Do you enjoy working outdoors? If you answered ‘yes’ to either of these questions then this is the opportunity you have been waiting for!!! BFA Environmental is recruiting qualified individuals to receive short-term training for a number of entry-level environmental technician and construction related positions. Training is at no cost.

Curriculum Outline

1.) Geotechnical and Construction Inspection

This section of the training will give participants an overview of a variety of field test(s) and testing techniques. Participants who complete this section are eligible to sit for the ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade 1 Certification Exam.

2.) OSHA 10hr Construction Safety

The OSHA Construction Safety provides participants with an in-depth look at industry standards and practices as it relates to construction safety. Certification in this area is a basic requirement for nearly all employment positions in the environmental and construction industries.

3.) Introduction to Water and Wastewater

This section will introduce participants to water and wastewater treatment and the related technologies. Participants will gain basic knowledge that will enable them to function in entry-level positions at water treatment plants.

4.) Employment Skills

Once participants have gained new skills the next challenge will be convincing an employer to offer employment. The resume and interview components of job searching are vital to landing that dream position. In this section participants will gain the skills necessary to stand out in a competitive employment market.

CMEC Pathway to ACI Concrete Field Testing Certification – Grade 1
Thank you for your interest in learning more about the BFA Short Term Training Program. We conduct Information Sessions every Friday at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm, with the exception of holidays during which there are no sessions. You only need to attend one session so please take a moment to see which session works best for you and complete the form below. All session are held at 1230 Hillcrest Blvd.*Orlando, FL*32803.

If you decide that you will move forward with the program after sitting through the Information Session, we will have you complete some preliminary documents to begin your enrollment process. So, please bring the following with you to the Information Session:

  • Picture ID (DL, student id, passport, etc.) – must be current
  • Social Security Card
  • Birth Certificate
  • Complete Work History
  • Last 2 paycheck stubs (if available)
