Barnes, Ferland & Associates, Inc. (BFA) performed the complete design and permitting of a water  treatment system for Belmere Elementary School in the City of Windermere in southwest Orange County. The water treatment system provided chlorinated potable water from a well source to the 850 pupil school. Chlorination of the water is accomplished using relatively safe sodium hypochlorite. The BFA design system included a hydropneumatic tank, a chlorine/control panel building, a well pump, fencing, top of well details, and all piping and appurtenances required to ensure smooth operation of the system. BFA also provided a complete plan for the drilling of the potable water well and provided an engineering report.
