This project consisted of developing a conceptual design of wastewater collection, transmission, treatment and effluent disposal facilities to serve the City of Bushnell and Lake Panasoffkee community. Several treatment and effluent disposal siting and methodology alternatives were evaluated. 

Based on project cost estimates derived from the recommended alternatives, an evaluation of funding sources, including FmHA grant/loan, SRF loans and conventional financing, was conducted and a utility rate structure determined for each funding source. FmHA grant/loan preapplication packages were prepared for the City of Bushnell and Sumter County. This project was funded through a cooperative agreement between the WRWSA, SWFWMD, Sumter County and the City of Bushnell.
