Barnes, Ferland and Associates, Inc. (BFA) conducted design and construction of the N.W. The project included locating all major utilities in the roadways which involved coordination between FDOT and Miami-Dade, and producing a preliminary design for the sanitary sewer system and pump station. BFA obtained all required permits and approvals from the various agencies including Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department, City of Miami, FDOT, Miami-Dade County Public Works Department and the Miami-Dade Department of Environmental Resources Management. BFA also provided a Maintenance of Traffic Plan acceptable to the various governing authorities. BFA provided all labor, materials and equipment required to complete the sewer system and FDOT roadway construction, testing and certification and in full conformance with both the WASD-approved design, the FDOT design and the requirements of all specifications and permits. BFA tested the sewer system and pumping station according to WASD standards and performed any additional work required to obtain results acceptable to the Water and Sewer Department. BFA also performed all necessary construction of the roadway improvements to the satisfaction of FDOT and WASD. Reference: Mr. M. Paul Voight, P.G.
