For the past 3 years BFA has provided various hydrogeological and environmental engineering services to Orange County under a continuing contract. The services performed ranged from closure and upgrade of small underground and aboveground fuel storage tanks to the implementation of Contamination Assessment Reports and Remedial Action Plans. The size of the tanks ranged from 1000 to 12,000 gallons. These services were provided for 14 facilities through the county for a variety of departments including Solid Waste, Water Wastewater, Public Works, Facility Management, Parks and Risk Management. All of the tank closures, assessments or upgrades, were determined by FDEP to be in full compliance. The majority of the work performed was initiated in an effort to address Federal compliance issues associated with the mandate to take all single wall tanks out of service by December 31, 1998
